10 Gluten-Free Bento Box Lunch Ideas
A note on gluten before we get started: If you are packing lunches for someone gluten intolerant, you probably know this, but be sure to read your labels!
The yogurt and kefir products I recommend are gluten-free but any other packaged item has the opportunity for gluten contamination.
Read your labels carefully and look for the certified gluten-free seal to keep you and your gluten intolerant body safe!
Gluten-Free Lunch Idea #1: Deconstructed Chicken Tacos
This lunch is especially great when you have leftover grilled chicken from dinner the night before.I like to eat this by dipping the chicken chunks in the creamy taco sauce and then dipping in cheese or lettuce. You could also serve this with guacamole if you like having multiple dipping options.
Gluten-free tortilla chips would also make a great addition to this lunch for big kids or adults who need a little more food in their lunch.
To make this gluten-free lunch idea, pack:
- Chunks of leftover grilled chicken
- Baby tomatoes
- Shredded lettuce
- Shredded cheese
- Creamy taco sauce - make it by mixing 1/2 cup of plain Greek style yogurt or sour cream with about one teaspoon of taco seasoning or to taste.
